We Decided on Forever

“Actually, the best gift you could have given her was a lifetime of adventures. – Lewis Carroll

Adventure and travel is the hearthstone of Morgan and Michael’s relationship.

Morgan and Michaels adventure story begins with them connecting through OKCupid, an online dating service. After about a week of online courtship, Michael told Morgan that all he wanted for Christmas was her phone number, (SWOON!) which he then used to call and ask her out. Their first date was just going to be lunch at BJ’s restaurant in Towson. Instead, it turned into a full day of conversation over coffee and peppermint hot chocolate at Starbucks. “We didn’t get bored once while talking to each other!” – Morgan.

Morgan and Michael are best friends and love spending quality time with each other no matter what they’re doing. Whether it is enjoying Friday night with some Coal Fire pizza, gettin’ Jiggy Wit It’ with spontaneous random dance parties, or travelling and going on adventures together (They want to visit all 50 states before they turn 50 #COUPLEGOALS)! Their unconditional love for each other allows them to truly be themselves together. Always learning and never getting bored of one another. They feel completely free to be goofy and silly without fear of judgment. When asked what Morgan loves most about Michael, it is “Michael’s sense of humour and his personality. He is so kind and supportive!”

Michael loves how selfless Morgan is, and how passionate she is about the kids she teaches and coaches. He loves “how her passion for others transcends into every aspect of her life”.

During our engagement session, it was obvious that Michael is a helpless romantic. So it was no surprise that their proposal story was one of epic romantic proportions. Micheal plotted and planned the proposals for months, creating a surprise adventure road trip scavenger hunt for Morgan as a ruse to keep her from guessing his true intentions. The scavenger hunt required Morgan to find pieces to a puzzle that Michael create to learn where they would be going. Michael’s scavenger hunt took them all over the East Coast. From Alabama to visit family, to Pensacola beaches, north to Orlando for Margaritaville and Universal Studios, Savannah and Charleston to shop, and finally Gatlinburg to hike. In Gatlinburg, Morgan had all but one of the pieces to fill in, the sentence ”Just ______”. Morgan thought it was going to say, “Just Drive” because of all the traveling and experiences they had during that trip. In Gatlinburg, they hiked to a beautiful waterfall where Michael proposed to Morgan by asking her if she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. Morgan was completely surprised! The last piece of the puzzle said, “Just say yes!”

Morgan and Michael are best friends and couldn’t imagine life without each other! When asked what they are most looking forward to on their wedding day they said, “We are looking forward to becoming Mr. and Mrs.! We can’t wait to celebrate us with our friends and family! We are excited for the food and dancing!

Morgan and Michael’s love for each other is palpable. It was an absolute pleasure getting to know them and photographing their engagement session. I couldn’t be more excited for these two, and I am honoured to be their wedding photographer!
