Hi, y’all! Welcome to the wedding blog, a journal about my couples, weddings, travel, and family. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm Julia

A Breathtaking Brentsville Hall Wedding

Weddings

As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen my fair share of beautiful weddings, but Susan + Richard’s Brentsville Hall in Manassas, VA, was breathtaking.

As I arrived at Brentsville Hall, I was immediately struck by the venue’s grandeur. The stunning building was nestled in the rolling hills of Virginia. The venue’s grand ballroom, with its soaring ceilings and ornate gold chandeliers, was perfect for Susan and Richard’s wedding celebration.

I walked to the bridal suite and Susan greeted me, beaming with excitement as her bridesmaids surrounded her. Susan’s wedding dress was a work of art, with intricate lace details and delicate beading. Her cascading bouquet was a stunning combination of light peach and purple orchids, white lily, and blue flowers. Her bouquet added elegance to her already stunning ensemble.

Meanwhile, Richard and his groomsmen were getting ready downstairs. An man did they look sharp in their light gray suits and light blue ties. The perfect coordinating colors with the bridesmaids’ dresses. As Richard put on his jacket, he couldn’t help but smile, knowing he was about to marry the love of his life.

After seeing each other for the first time, Susan + Richard’s nervousness melted away. But Susan + Richard always knew their day wouldn’t be complete without their two fur babies, Oshie and Bowie. These two came dressed to impress. Although they didn’t stay for the whole day, they were there in spirit as the night’s cocktail mascots.

Ceremony

The venue’s beautiful covered patio hosted Susan and Richard’s ceremony. The focal point of the space is a beautiful limestone fireplace featuring a stunning asymmetric arch of sage greenery, white and pink roses, and blue flowers. Surrounded by their family and friends, the couple exchanged their vows and sealed their love with a kiss.

Reception

They held the reception in the grand ballroom, where the warm glow of the golden chandeliers added a romantic ambiance for the evening. Susan + Richard entered their reception as only two true basketball fans would, with the crowds cheering, music pumping, and their wedding party there to chant them in. As the dance floor emptied and the music slowed, Susan + Richard shared their first dance as husband and wife. The moment was truly magical, filled with love and joy.

Susan and Richard’s wedding was a stunning celebration of love, and I feel so honored to have been a part of it. Every detail was perfectly executed from the beautiful venue to the elegant color palette, making for a truly memorable day. I wish this wonderful couple a lifetime of love and happiness, and I know their love story will continue to inspire others for years to come! I hope you enjoy some of my favorite images from Susan + Richard’s breathtaking Brentsville Hall wedding!
