Sometimes unfortunate circumstantial events seem more like serendipitous fate encounters. Like when a bride and groom have to cancel their wedding or a vendor cancels on a couple. This is the exact scenario that led me to Jillian and Alan.
Jillian and Alan had the terrible misfortune of their photographer cancelling a week before their wedding, while I simultaneously had a wedding postponed due to COVID. So when I received Jillian and Alan’s inquiry I felt like fate was calling.
My heart skipped a beat as I pulled into the driveway of the beautiful Pavilion at Weatherly Farm. This stunning estate is perfectly nestled on the shore of the Potomac River, offering panoramic views in every direction. With a newly renovated bridal suite and amazing services and hosts, this venue really is a dream! They truly helped make Jillian and Alan’s wedding day magical.
From the moment I stepped into the bridal suite Jillian and her girls made me feel right at home. The energy in the room was an amazing mix of zen, calm, and excitement! Jillian was so calm and relaxed, just savoring the day, one blissful moment at a time. From getting pampered from head to toe, sharing stories with her girls, FaceTiming with bridesmaids who couldn’t make it, popping champagne on the pier, and finally getting into her wedding dress!
Alan was just as excited as Jillian for the big day and couldn’t stop smiling. He spent the day getting ready and escaping the rising heat, hanging out with his groomsmen on the deck overlooking the Potomac, and waiting patiently to see his beautiful bride walk down the aisle.
Now I’m not going to lie, it was hot! And the sun was out in full force. But being on the water in such a perfect location made Jillian and Alan’s ceremony perfection. I remember how stunning Jillian looked as she walked down the aisle, her smile beaming as bright as the sun.
I don’t know if you know, but if you don’t let me tell you. The sunsets at Weatherly are spectacular! As I’m walking with Jillian and Alan out onto the pier, I watch the sun melt into the horizon, creating the most extraordinary sunset. I think to myself how lucky I am that I got the chance to spend the day with this incredible couple, their sweet family, and their
I am so thankful for the unexpected fortuitous circumstances that lead me to you. I am so honored to have shared your magical day and can only imagine what your future holds. Although it was hard to choose, please enjoy my favorites from this gorgeous Weatherly Farm wedding.
