A Stunning Anchor Inn Wedding | Maryland

Colleen and Andrew’s Anchor Inn wedding was a career high for me! My hype and love for this wedding had nothing to do with the amazing venue or the spectacular food, but everything to do with my amazing couple.

From our first consultation I knew Colleen and Andrew were a perfect match for me. Their love for photography and desire to capture their day made my photographer heart sing. But it was their kind demeanor that created a special place in my heart. They both carry such a warm light. Being around them gives you all the warm cozy feelings of familiarity and belonging.

Just to help you understand what I am talking about, let me give you some context.

When first meeting Colleen, she told me about her health and weight loss journey. It is so inspiring! This woman doesn’t dream small, nor should she! But when I asked her why she went to such extremes, I wasn’t prepared for her answer. She looked straight into my eyes and without skipping a beat said, “because I want to have children and have healthy pregnancies.”

As I type this out, my two little munchkins are downstairs being very loud in their joyful pursuit of fun! And I’m trying my hardest to not cry like a baby in my office thinking about Colleen and her dreams of becoming a mother. Colleen is pushing herself every flipping day in her pursuit of a healthy life, not only for herself now, but her future self and future family! Wow.. just Wow!

Now Andrew is this goliath of a man. He towers over most people, but he is so kind-hearted and sweet. If those words weren’t enough to convince you, Andrew’s best man is his grandfather. Lovingly referred to as “Papper”, Andrew is extremely close with his grandfather. The love and bond they shared is so evident. Andrew’s admiration and respect for his grandfather is something that I hope my own children experience.

Colleen and Andrew are in a whole other realm when it comes to love and spreading kindness. But they are not alone, as it should be no surprise that this warmth and love is echoed through their entire family. The whole day I experienced and witnessed all sorts of little acts of kindness. From Colleen’s mother sewing up a hole in my jumpsuit to watching Colleen’s sister run up and down the stairs to get things for Colleen while she was getting her hair and makeup done. I also noticed how Andrew’s sister assisted “Papper” throughout the entire day. This family has stolen my heart!

Colleen and Andrew I am extremely grateful to you for sharing your day and some of your life with me. You and your families have made such an impact on me. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two. I know it’s going to be so fun to watch you two go on this adventure together.
