Meghan and Michael met me at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial for their engagement session on a quiet morning in Washington, DC. The two met through mutual friends and fell in love nearly four years ago. Michael proposed to Meghan back in the fall at the beautiful Hay Adams. Meghan immediately said yes, and the two couldn’t be happier!
Meghan and Michael have been Washingtonians for 10 years now, and what better place to capture their love story than the place they call home? We wanted to capture a session that felt timeless, classic, and romantic, and the iconic marble of the monuments gave the perfect backdrop. From Meghan’s Louis Vuitton heels, to Michael’s stylish suit these two came ready to nail their engagement session. We strolled along the Potomac river, capturing the classic DC skyline in the background. We started chatting like old friends as we walked along the National Mall. These two were the sweetest and it was such a joy to photograph this sunrise engagement session for them.
